Kids snack constantly. Instead of going to the store and buying crackers loaded with preservatives, learn how to easily make your own at home. Dehydrating food is fun and incredibly easy. Children can even come to the workshop with a parent and prepare their own snacks! Dehydrated foods are "cooked" at such a low temperature that they are still considered "raw" and do not lose the enzymes, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients that can die at higher temperatures.
Dehydrators are also great for preserving food from your garden when you have an abundant harvest.
